Recognizing the significant growth of demand for STEM careers and lack of underrepresented groups in Computer Science and Information Technology, YSLC has created a program allowing students of diverse backgrounds to access education in computer science through various free and accessible programs including basics of programming classes in Python. American Computer Science League (ACSL) organizes computer programming and computer science contests for K-12 schools, organizations and local groups. YSLC hosts a team competing in the Senior division.

The American Rocketry Challenge is the world’s largest rocket contest with nearly 5,000 students nationwide competing each year. The contest gives middle and high school students the opportunity to design, build and launch model rockets and hands-on experience solving engineering problems. Orbital rocketry is YSLC's in-house competitive sport rocketry team competing in the American Rocketry Challenge.

Special Friends is an organization created under the Youth STEM Leadership Coalition to allow students in Special Education to access educational resources to students previously left unoffered and allow students with disabilities to learn and do more in STEM. Special Friends also raises funds and awareness for other organizations supporting causes related to Autism awareness and research. The organization operates out of Innovation Academy High School in Alpharetta, GA. 

In our early days we started a book drive initiative. Our team worked tirelessly to collect and donate over 200 books to the Children's Hospital of Atlanta. While this is a humble start for us, it was a rewarding experience to know that we can make a difference in the lives of children in our community. The joy of reading is unparalleled, and we believe that every child deserves access to quality books. We are grateful to everyone who contributed and helped us make this initiative a success. Moving forward, we aim to continue initiatives like these, and we hope to inspire more people to join us in this noble cause. Stay tuned for updates on our future initiatives!
